Shortly after retiring, Carl decided to take a trek across Hadrian’s Wall in the north of England. His children gave him a journal to write in for his trip. His musings about the trip encouraged Carl to set about writing his first book, A Tramp In England. Carl lives in Winnipeg, Canada.
