Jason D. Hilkerbaumer is a Presbyterian and United Church of Christ pastor, Master Mason, and writer from Missouri. He serves Salem Presbyterian Church and St. John’s United Church of Christ and is a member of Chamois Lodge No. 185 A.F. & A.M. His writing grows out of a conviction that Freemasonry is best understood through clear explanations, historical context, and practical experience rather than mystery or speculation. He enjoys helping Masons connect the symbolism and traditions of the Craft with everyday life. Beyond the Blue Lodge is his first book and was written to help Master Masons better understand the wider Masonic family, its appendant bodies, and the opportunities available to them after the Blue Lodge. When he isn’t writing, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife, Misty, their family, fishing, hiking, and serving his local community.
