Sycamore Glen is my first full length novel. Being a first time author, I've found the process of writing to be a very absorbing pastime. My goal with Sycamore Glen was to create engaging characters during a simpler time in rural America. The response by those that have read my book and offered criticisms about it, has been very encouraging. Most of the novel was created in a very short three week span during the summer of 2016. Since then, I've tweaked the story and formatted it for several types of media. Discussions that I've had with several of my readers have led to the creation of two more novels concerning the characters in Sycamore Glen. I've recently completed a story called Sycamore Mill which continues to follow the characters created in Sycamore Glen as well as introducing the ancestors of several of the characters in a series of flashbacks during the Civil War era. It will be available shortly as a paperback, hardcover or ebook. Responses from my test readers have all been positive and very supportive of my efforts. The third novel and final book in the series is coming along nicely. The working title is Sycamore Secrets. It's essentially a 'second' half of the story(s) in Sycamore Mill. It is closely tied to it and completes the 'past / present' story lines that are at the heart of both books. A big portion of it takes place in 1968 - a very tumultuous time in America.
