About
David Coldwell
David Coldwell won the 2015 Calgary Commuter of the Year Award as a result of his efforts to keep the Airport Trail Pathway in Calgary Alberta open all winter long with home made plows. This was the first time since the pathway was built that it was open all winter. The following winter he also kept the pathway plowed. He won gold and silver medals in the 2015 Alberta 55+ Summer Games in Strathmore Alberta as a result of bicycle snowplow training. David has been featured in several articles by Tom Babin of the Calgary Herald. David is the first to combine various technologies to pull very large plows with bicycles. By turning winter training inside out, he went from boring indoor cycling training to exciting outdoor bicycle snowplowing. David continues to combine and develop technologies to pull plows with a bicycle. His largest plow, the Mega Plow is 5 feet wide and clears half a pathway at a time. David now passes on his expertise to future generations with this book.
