Robert Gandy is an award-winning artist and writer, native to the Washington, D.C. area. His writing is generally journalistic, relating to US politics, current events and the environment. He also writes about the Arts, and is Urban Arts writer for Examiner.com. Passionate about the Arts as an engine for sustainable economic development, he pursues writing and art in ways that will benefit the community and world around him. He has over 15 years of Arts production, design and management experience. He studied theatre design at the University of Maryland, College Park and received his Associates in Arts from Alpena Community College, in Alpena, Michigan. Now he takes online classes at University of Maryland, University College in a never-ending quest to further his education.
