Brenda Cherry is a civil and human rights activist and writer from Paris Texas. She is an advocate for children and equality in education and the criminal justice system. Cherry was born and raised in Blossom Texas. She was born March 19, 1958 to Irene Whitney and Zeb Reynolds. She attended Blossom Elementary School and graduated from Prairiland High School. She graduated from Paris Junior College and attended East Texas State University. Brenda gained national and international attention during her fight for justice in high profile cases including ShaQuanda Cotton, Brandon McClelland, Turner Industries, Bobby Yates, and Joquan Wallace.
