Graphic designer, sculptor, illustrator, painter. Typically a visual artist, I went out and began a story, of all things, about lions, urban youth, and politics. The male ego in positions of power, governmentally and socially, was reflected for me in the pride structure of lions so to speak. Combined, these were further viewed to me as the perceived bravado and machismo of urban youth in my culture. The mane, the strength, the perception of cat like cool, territorial right and ownership, environmentalism and politikin', that is politics, quickly became not only an intersting story for me but a means to investigate something I myself knew only topically about. This is a most concentrated effort of exploration in that regard.
