About
Kent Marrero
Kent Marrero is a Queer writer and intersectional advocate born in Puerto Rico and raised primarily in Orlando and Kissimmee. They have worked in print and self-publishing on and off over the course of a decade. Marrero has also worked alongside grassroots liberation movements in Central Florida and North Florida since 2008, and is an active member in their LGBTQ communities. Before coming out as Genderqueer and using They/Them pronouns in 2015, Marrero wrote under their birth name: Cristina Marrero. Marrero's work, beliefs, and writing style have all also evolved since they first started writing and these changes will be accounted for in future publications. Their work is centered in the belief that our personal stories are pivotal to our liberation. Marrero wants to uplift the voices of their intersected communities through authentic character and linguistic representation. Many publications available via Lulu.com are in re-working and will re-release by 2020.
