Dave Cotner was born in Muncy, Pennsylvania. After High School he joined the US Army and in May, 1985 was sent to Seoul, South Korea where he met his wife, Teddie. They were married in April, 1986 and returned to the states in November, 1987. In 1999 David received a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Bethany Divinity College. In 2009 he earned a Master’s degree in counseling from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He has pastored Baptist churches in Pennsylvania and Florida and has served as a hospital chaplain in Pensacola, Florida. Dave currently serves as the founder and director of FaithLife Counseling, a biblical counseling ministry. He lives in Pensacola, FL with his wife and two youngest children, Steven and Samuel. Their eldest son, David, an Iraqi War veteran, is a pastor in Iowa; he is married to Heather and have four children. Laura, their daughter, lives in California with her husband, Steve, a US Marine aviator; they have three children.
