Carolyn V. Shaw was born August 23, 1934, in Ft. Worth, TX, to Floyd and Virginia Roan. She met our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ among a heavenly band of angels, on March 18, after a brief illness. She was a talented musician who grew up surrounded by the sounds of music as her mother, Virginia, taught private piano and organ lessons. Carolyn took her musical talents and studied at Texas Women's University. She met the love of her life, Gus David Shaw, on a blind date at their sister school, Texas A&M University. They married in May of 1954 and began a life loving each other and serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ together. They were blessed with five children, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a Proverbs 31 woman who was dearly loved by family and friends. Carolyn was an accomplished author publishing children's books, musicals, and award-winning poetry compilations. She published an historic novel in the fall of 2016 called "The Crossing." Her works were all based on her love of God's creation, family, and history. She also wrote, "The Adventures of Pudgie Duck". A children's book and musical. It can be found on Amazon books.
