Bob is director of St. Louis Downtown Airport and an instructor for St. Louis U’s Parks College of Engineering & Aviation. He soloed on his 16th birthday & has been a commercial pilot for over 45 years. He was a USAF T-38 Talon Instructor Pilot and, as a C-141 Starlifter examiner pilot, he served as Bob Hope’s 1990 USO Tour pilot and flew Presidential and combat support missions. He led the first U.S. troops into Yugoslavia, directed humanitarian relief operations in the Soviet Union, transformed the Mogadishu, Somalia airport into the busiest airport in Africa, and directed other vital air hub operations around the globe. After a 25-year USAF career, Bob served as director of Texarkana Regional Airport & returned home as director of St. Louis Downtown Airport. Bob continues to be an active pilot, flying his Cessna and powered parachute. He holds a BS in Aeronautical Administration, a Masters in Management, and is certified by the American Association of Airport Executives
