Emily Gao began writing her first book, Contract Bearer, in the beginning of her sixth grade and published it at the age of sixteen. In addition, Emily has composed numerous poems, short stories and published several articles in her school newspaper, Verve. During her spare time, she likes to design patterns and bake. Emily currently resides in Summit, New Jersey with her family.
