Emma was born in Peterborough in 1984. She lived in Lincolnshire until her early twenties before moving to Birmingham where she currently resides with her partner. Emma has always had a creative spirit, enjoying photography, art, theatre and crafts as well as her original hobby: writing. She has always had an interest in the fragility of relationships and emotion, aspects which she tries to convey within her written works. "Someone once said 'write because there's a truth that demands to be burnt on paper' " she says. "I think that's true. I hope people will always enjoy my work and maybe recognise something of themselves within it. Fiction will always have an element of reality. It's a comfort to read something and say 'I too have felt that.'
