Darren Miller was born in 1985 and when in the 3rd grade was placed into special educational classes due to his reading comprehension disability. However, he did not let that get him down. He attended to his studies, determined to overcome this disability, and by the time he was in Junior high had begun to progress back into his mainstream classes. By his junior year in high school he was fully mainstreamed, and began his dream of becoming a writer. So far he has published 3 poems, 2 of which won awards, and produced a play. He also graduated from UCLA with a BA in English with a concentration in creative writing poetry and History, and he is now still following that same dream to become the author he desired to be so long ago.
