Glen has a wide range of interests including astronomy, electronics and computing, ancient and modern languages, and orchestral and choral music. He has worked as a lab assistant in a university microbiology department, radio technical officer maintaining navigational aids, and administrator of a Deaf Society. He is currently employed as a secondary mathematics teacher. In addition to being widely read in many areas of interest, he has formal qualifications in Electronics, Auslan interpreting, Mathematics, and Education.
