When my daughter at 10 years old came to me and told me that she wanted to learn how to program, as a computer scientist, I was thrilled but upon searching for books that she could use to learn, I couldn't find any so I created my own. These books were designed to teach programming to the 8-14 year olds in the same style as their classroom books teach them science and social studies. On page 2, you begin programming and it just keeps on growing your skill set slowly from there in a fashion that keeps the child engaged. These books are child tested and I edited several areas from their direct feedback so the layout and wrting is perfected to their level.
