About
James Ervin II
When did I first fall in love with writing, you ask? When I was in high school. I used to love coming home from school, locking myself in my room, and turning on some Musiq Soulchild or John Legend. And I would sit there with pen and pad just vibing and writing love letters. When I was in that room writing I felt at peace. Like I was soaring. I imagine it's how Neil Armstrong felt when he walked on the moon, or how Leonardo de Vinci felt when he made Mona Lisa smile. Like I was in a whole new world. This love for writing followed me all throughout college, which is where it was cultivated and nurtured. Most importantly, it is where my writing received direction. No longer do I merely write love letters, which I still do occasionally, nor research papers for indifferent professors to judge. But now I am privileged to write messages of hope, perseverance, encouragement, and love. Privileged to write words that have the potential and power to impact the world.
