Jane Covernton lives, writes, photographs, gardens, swims, and makes herbal medicine in Xwesam, aka Roberts Creek, near the Salish Sea. This place was originally occupied by aboriginal people of the Coast Salish nation, specifically the shishalh. Shishalh elders have said that Xwesam means "when the water bubbles." Jane has written three novels, a cookbook, a book about herbs, essays, and several books of poetry, most of which are available on lulu.com and blurb.ca She's shown her photography in the Little Galley in the Garden at her home and included it in books she has published.
