Born in Portsmouth in 1946 at the age of seven moved to the the Llynfi Valley and the village of Llangynwyd in South Wales. Has worked in Coal Mining Industry and in the Construction Industry as a Bricklayer and a Carpenter/Joiner. Married at the age of 19 to Janet they have one daughter and three grandchildren. For the past forty years has been resident of the village of Nant-y-moel in the Ogmore Valley
