Jayde is a transgender lesbian writer and poet based in Colorado Springs. Her work explores identity, resilience, memory, and the quiet bravery it takes to keep going. Writing from lived experience with trauma, recovery, and queerness, she approaches storytelling with honesty, tenderness, and deep respect for the complexity of healing. Her debut book, Blood, Ink, and Aftermath, is a collection of poetry and prose that traces a journey through loss, transformation, and self-reclamation. The book moves through themes of survival, love, grief, and renewal, offering readers language for experiences that are often difficult to name. These pieces were shaped both on the page and in performance, blending raw emotion with moments of reflection and grace. In addition to writing, Jayde is a volunteer, community advocate, and queer officiant. She believes in the power of stories to connect people, build understanding, and remind us that even in the aftermath, something meaningful can grow. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys painting, gaming, and spending time with her chosen family.
