I wrote this as a piece of "contemporary sci-fi" in which I tried to be down to earth about technological advances and realistic about human beings' behavior and actions. No shining paragons of virtue, these people. But they are human beings. And hopefully I succeeded in making a story that is gripping and that you discover something unique about it.
