Jerry D. Hasting retired from a 34-year career with the Boy Scouts of America in 2009. He and his wife, Sara, built their retirement home on the banks of the Washougal River in Washougal, Washington. In retirement they enjoy reading, traveling, gardening and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Jerry began researching his family genealogy in the mid-1970's and in retirement, enjoys the ability to spend extra time in this endeavor. The gathering of stories about their ancestors has resulted in the publishing of several books.
