John Novis Elkins serves as the teaching pastor at Sovereign Grace Fellow- ship in Brazoria, Texas. He and his wife, Stephanie, have 4 children and strive to cultivate beauty in every area of life. Stephanie and John believe that it is the responsibility of every Christian to make their world a more beautiful place by living a life consistent with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Together with a group of 12 others, John founded Sovereign Grace Fellowship in February of 2016. The church was started as a result of a desire to have a simple, healthy church that exalts Christ in worship, enables gospel-centered living in its members, and engages the surrounding community with the Word of God. After years of ministry in a more traditional, program-centric ministry, the leaders of SGF discerned a deep need for something different. They felt a need for a simple church that would answer troubles with Scripture and provide a community that would enable Christians to live like Christ.
