I am blessed to have united with my soul mate. A country girl, graduate of Marin College, Kentfield, CA. with a Degree in music, I took on the task to put my husband's stories down just as he told them. Born in Texas, he had the stamp of a storyteller in his way of speaking, a kind of poetic view of the road on which he traveled, a hard but fruitful path that built the fiber of a lover of life and nature. He is gone but I remain, a country girl and lover of life, of nature and all God's creation. Jazz has the rif, the improvising around a melodic line, the free flow of sound as does the genious of expression create a free flow of words that stress emotion sometimes brash, sometimes full of joy to remember what he felt as a boy. Everyone has a story to tell but some have their story in every fiber, too rich not to recall. God is with him, I'm sure, and, too, am I.
