Ken Holmes is best-known in his own right as a Buddhist scholar and teacher, as well as for his work translating ancient Tibetan texts and interpreting for Tibetan lamas. An engineer by training, he has spent over 40 years at the Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland, where he is Director of Studies. He teaches meditation and Buddhist theory in centres in Europe and Southern Africa.
