Born in 1971 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kent has been writing short stories, editorials, news articles, and more for over 30 years. His first published works included poems, speeches and essays in elementary school and his writings have been featured in magazines, newspapers and journals online and in print around the world. In 1999, Kent was a writer and editor for wCities.com, an online travel magazine owned by British Telecom. His work was syndicated by hundreds of online travel and information sites across the internet. In 2002, he penned a short story that was his most personal of writings. A Fountain of Joy was his recollection of a dream that inspired hope after the birth of his first daughter, a child with special needs. Recently, Kent has begun work on a series of picture books that teach positive character traits and values for young children. Kent and his wife Stephanie live in Tennessee with their three daughters, Abigail, Emily and Sophie.
