Lacey has been a nurse for over 6 and a half years. Before entering into the nursing profession she was a middle school teacher in an low-income neighborhood. While teaching, Lacey realized how much she enjoyed educating and leading but she craved more. She entered into nursing school and immediately fell in love. Lacey has worked as a cardiac nurse on night shift, to a day shift out patient radiology nurse and a sports medicine football team nurse. In addition she has built a company called The Empowered Nurse with the purpose of mentoring and supporting new nurses as they enter into the profession. Lacey believes that becoming a nurse should not feel as painful as it does for so many. Through her mentorship, journals, books and stories her goal is to support other nurses in finding their confidence, empowerment and alignment with their career!
