On June 18th, 1993, LaDonna was kidnapped and and assaulted by a family acquaintance. She escaped the next morning, flagged down a Good Samaritan, and was driven home where law enforcement and her family were waiting. LaDonna is a survivor. She is a mother of two, a retail Store Manager, and recently founded her non-profit, LaDonna Renee VST Foundation, Inc. and Find Your Voice Victim/Survivor/Thriver. LaDonna found her voice in 2009, when she was offered the opportunity to share her story during a Crisis Intervention Training. She has been actively volunteering in the San Diego area ever since, sharing her story to thousands. Faith and the God -Fairy is a book about resilience, hope, love, and dissociation. LaDonna's mission is to encourage survivors to share their stories and to speak out against sexual violence. Her goal and purpose is to continue to advocate for other survivors, especially youth, and help them find the courage to use their voice in order to spread awareness. LaDonna hopes that her book will provide some comfort to her readers. She wants them to know that they are not alone, and that creativity is a great way to cope with trauma.
