Laura Canning is an Irish writer now based in London. Her first novel Taste the Bright Lights was published to high critical acclaim in March 2008; its second edition was published in November 2010 and it was longlisted for the Mslexia Children's Novel Competition 2012. Laura has written a full-length and completed screenplay of Taste the Bright Lights and is currently writing her second novel, a sequel to Taste the Bright Lights about internal sex trafficking and child exploitation in the UK. She is also a content writer and blogger for an award-winning travel website based in London.
