Welcome to My Spotlight page and I hope you will come back often. As a child growing up in Chester County Pennsylvania, our family history was passed down from my mother. She shared the stories of our ancestors and their exploits, from the time I was a child. In the winter, we would sit by the Potbelly stove in Coatesville and listen as my mother told us about their exploits. As I got older and shared the stories, it appeared no one else had that detailed of a history. It was not until I read Alex Haleys book, Roots, that I understood the difference between Oral and Written Documented History. In this Society Oral History is not as accepted as Written History. I set out to prove that we had a Oral and Written History. I followed the lead of my mothers story and the result has been three books. We must remember that, "Our Stories Stay Alive - Through the Telling."
