About
Lester Smith
Lester Smith was born in Lancaster, Lancashire where he went to school in the 70s and 80s (great days). He enjoyed life at his secondary comp (although he didn't always realise this at the time). His love of books and enjoyment of writing were already evident; he won a prize at the Lancaster Literature festival aged 13 and was awarded a special prize for English when he finished at the school. Lester subsequently took on a variety of roles in life: retail work; 18 years with a marquee company; lumberjack in France; He is currently an English and maths tutor working with adults. During this time he has studied for a degree with the Open University and a masters degree in creative writing at Edge Hill. Lester is very interested in genre fiction writing, literary fiction writing and where boundaries exist between these departments. He hopes that readers will find his novel, Tunnel Vision, broadly entertaining.
