Logan Keeler is a children's book author and illustrator living and working out of Philadelphia, PA. Inspired by the world around him and the stories he sees, he spins together tales and matches his colorful imagery to bring them to life. While his early professional career was spent acting professionally in New York City, he recently found his niche and new passion writing and drawing in Philly. Barcelona Lauderdale was inspired by a bit of family lore, actually. As the story goes, when his mother was growing up in Connecticut in the 60s her father (his grandfather) returned from a work trip in Florida with a baby alligator in his suitcase. They named the alligator Barcelona Lauderdale and Barcelona would spend his summers in the backyard and his winters in the basement. How much of this legend is true has never been discovered but the tale lives on! So, in honor of this scaley family pet, I present Barcelona Lauderdale!, my first illustrated children's book. It speaks to this gator's unassailably benevolent nature and why he insists on helping everyone around him. I would be thrilled if Barcelona Lauderdale! made its way to your child's bookshelf.
