Maasai "7 A.M" Amewa is a Multi-Disciplinary artist from Chicago, Illinois. He is an established Hip-Hop lyricist, poet, music producer, and photographer. With performance, research, and journalism awards to his credit, Maasai Amewa, also known by his stage name as “7 A.M” has spread his socially conscious messages throughout Chicago since the mid 2000’s. Multiple winner of the historic Green Mills spoken word poetry competition, Maasai “7 A.M” Amewa has performed for the former Mayor Daley, students of Northwestern University, Columbia College Chicago, University of Chicago, UIC, as well as Community Colleges through out Chicago and Chicago-land area. He has also been featured at The Green Mill, Red Kiva, Funky Buddha Lounges and other locations in the Midwest.
