Having a son when I was 40 years old was a humbling experience, non more so than when he asked "What was it like when everything was in black and white?" Obviously as he is a child of the computer age, I felt an overwhelming urge to explain to him that although I was born in a grey time under grey skies, it was not all about being made to work down the mines at 6 years of age, and that good times did abound (Sometimes). This is my story.
