About
McKell Quilter Wilson
Born and raised among the red rocks of southern Utah, author McKell Quilter Wilson has spent a lifetime drawing upon both the world around her and within her to create her poetry. It wasn't until being diagnosed with malignant thyroid cancer at age 26, however, that she decided it was finally time to start sharing her work with the world. In 2022 - a year into her cancer journey - she published her first collection of poetry: All You Ever Need to Be, which highlights the themes of grief, growth, and rebirth she found herself experiencing as she wandered through cancer and the wilderness within. By sharing the fullness of her experiences, she hopes to remind readers that the full spectrum of their emotions are sacred, and that they never walk alone as they wander through the wilderness of their own soul - no matter what that may look like. When she isn't writing, you can find McKell spending time on the farm or out exploring with her partner, Jake, and two boys, Rad and Ollie.
