About
a gadfly

As an open-minded student of many disciplines, including philosophy, theology, politics and economics and their interconnection, my selected pen name is in homage to Socrates, the Father of Philosophy, who found a metaphor for his role within the Athenian Empire as being like that of a gadfly buzzing the face of the complacent beast that would soon greedily overextend itself, leading inexorably to its downfall. As our truest selves guided by knowledge, the one good, and uninhibited by fears borne of ignorance, the one evil, we can all be gadfly’s buzzing for progress in our own ways, befitting our natural abilities. Finding my natural role as a thinker and writer, the works on this page are just the beginning. Soon to come: a futuristic conspiracy novel advocating a purer form of democracy in order to protect us from the greedy ills of capitalism, a book of poems on MANY philosophical matters, and treatises on addiction and how the Western World ISN'T democratic.
