Monica F. Brown, under the pseudonym Queen of Spades, has been writing since the age of 11. She was an active participant in online organizations such as Urban Poetic (formally known as Fireseek), International House of Poets, as well as experimented with online spoken word at Vocalized Ink, House of Ra, and Prysmatic Dreams. Queen of Spades served as the presenter of Soulful Branches: Simply Words as well as the accompanying CD. She started self publishing in 2005 with Spaded Truths, followed by Private Pain. She is currently working on two new projects, Reflections of Soul, and Eclectic. In addition, her two authors in crime, Synful Desire and Da'Kharta Rising also have projects on the horizon. Synful Desire has a poetry collection entitled Journeys (working title) while Da'Kharta is working on a mixture of prose and personal story in her creation, Dark Quill.
