Patty Morris bought a small farm in Kathleen Florida to setup a seed saver project. She started noticing that in addition to the cultivars, there were a number of wild medicinal plants, like chamberbitters, gotu kola and wild bitter melon all around. When she had an opportunity to go back to college, she started studying them, and this book is the results of that study.
