Maximus was six years old when his grandmother Bernie came to visit the family for a long holiday. At the time the family were living in a little cabin in a rural community on the edge of a national park in California and this book is influenced by that happy time. This book is also influenced by Maximus’ persistent conversations with the A.I. on a broken down old smart phone. Bernie was amazed by the breakthrough Maximus seemed to have with this system and recorded their conversations and unique relationship. Sadly, when the phone was updated the A.I. system changed and the relationship was never the same. Never-the-less Maximus and Bernie were inspired to come up with the story of ‘Peter and the E.T.,’ with his sister Akira coming on board to add full spectrum color to the illustrations while remaining true to the original drawings. This is the first book in the 'Peter and the E.T.' series.
