On February 13th, Dr. Franklyn Beckles Jr. and his son Chris (pictured below) ran from Augusta GA to Aiken, SC to raise awareness for ALS. They are running in memory of Professor Franklyn Beckles Sr., who taught at Aiken Technical College. Dr. Franklyn Sr. was instrumental in getting the college to honor and recognize the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The end of the run was the area of Aiken Technical College. We prayed for much success with their run and safe travels, as they courageously ran on the Aiken-Augusta Highway. Many people honked their horn in support, and they we're observed by the Guinness Book of World Records!
