About
Renee McCrady
Renee McCrady is an artist, writer, and storyteller whose work blends visual beauty with lyrical language. She has spent decades creating award-winning murals and decorative finishes, curating art spaces, and helping other artists build their creative businesses. Her deep love of storytelling, however, began in childhood at her grandmother’s kitchen table, where books were always stacked on the chairs and poetry was scribbled on paper. Her first picture book, Grandma's Kitten, is born from one of those early poems, written with her grandmother when she was only eight years old. The story of the fluffy white kitten who tiptoes through her days became not only a sweet children’s tale, but also a way to honor the bond between generations and the way creativity carries love forward. When she isn’t writing or painting, Renee enjoys exploring gardens, diving into history, and cherishing time with her family, who continue to inspire her every creative step.
