The author is the mother of two daughters and grandmother of four grandchildren. She has been married fifty years (November 2010) to her husband Willis. She had a career in private, public, and government areas and retired from Tennessee Valley Authority. She has a B. S. degree from the University of North Alabama. She enjoys traveling and has dabbled in needlepoint, quilting, and painting. For years she kept a journal of articles she had read, written, and shared with women's groups. Many friends encouraged her to publish a book with these writings, so this is it!
