Rick Frey
Rick is the Chief Operations Officer at Toiyabe Indian Health Project in Bishop, California. He holds a PhD degree from the University of Alberta in Human Performance. He's been a US Naval Officer, professor at San Diego State University, and a department head at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. He was Racquetball Professional and Weight Loss Coordinator at Canyon Racquet Club in Salt Lake City, Utah; and Director of Academic Books at Human Kinetics Publishers, Champaign, Illinois. Rick has authored or coauthored more than 90 professional and scholarly articles, made over 150 academic and professional presentations, and edited over 100 text and reference books in kinesiology and exercise science. Six Weeks on the Throne: The Tale of a Stowaway, his first book for a general readership, is the memoir of an adventure he had as a 19 year-old during the summer of 1966. A true story, the book is available in both print and eBook versions.
