Eric Hougan
Eric Hougan is a nationally recognized teacher, advocate, and writer. Eric Hougan completed his Master of Arts in Teaching from National-Louis University in Chicago, IL. Currently, Eric is a National Board Certified Teacher in Washington, and a strong advocate on educational issues. In the community, Eric is a board member for two not-for-profit organizations that empower underrepresented students to enter into teaching and law. Eric is also an author, writing Road to Teaching: A Guide to Teacher Training, Student Teaching, and Finding a Job. He currently is the site author for one of the web's biggest resources for future teachers - roadtoteaching.com. He also is the guest writer for other edu-blogs. For his school and community efforts, Eric was recently recognized as a 2008-9 Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) Emerging Leader. Eric is currently a Ph.D. student studying educational leadership and policy at University of Washington.
