Robert Varney was born and raised in Sydney, Australia and spent almost 40 years working in the automotive industry as a certified motor mechanic, 27 of those years as an NRMA patrol officer helping stranded motorists who's cars had broken down. He is also a YouTube creator with several YouTube channels including 'Driving Back In Time' which explores many of the old cars we grew up with.
