Sanity's Horror (or Sanity, as the author and artist go by) is the author of the splatterpunk book The Man with the Scarred Neck, and well known for their indie horror franchise The Hellcrew Project; often referred to as The Hellcrew or simply Hellcrew. They are additionally well known for creating the character Julius 'Jules' Doherty [also known as] Julius the Dressmaker. They got their start as an artist and author by posting their original content on their Tumblr blog, and to quote Sanity, “it sort of just took off from there, I'm not sure how. I guess I created something people were drawn to.” Sanity also stated, “The Man with the Scarred Neck was never actually intended to be published. I was going to post it online as just another Internet horror story. Only at the last minute was I talked into properly publishing the book. I'm glad I did though.” Sanity was 25 at the time of publishing The Man with the Scarred Neck. Multiple upcoming books have been confirmed. Beyond their writing and the Hellcrew, Sanity is a professional illustrator and freelance artist. They have been vigorously praised by many for their realistic portrayal of dark subject matter, as well as their pleasingly gritty style of writing, and their unique voice as an author.
