About
Sheila Darrell
Dr. Sheila Pringle Darrell retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of honorable military service. Her son, youth she volunteered time to work with, and many of the airmen and civilians she supervised while in the United States Air Force and as a U.S. government employee inspired her to write her two books. She was concerned about the number of young adults that were starting a life on their own without the basic life skills we all should possess. She also recognized the need for all adults to ensure their affairs were in order. 2020 and 2021 revealed a significant lack of preparation for many families that resulted in increased homeless, food insecurity, and financial devastation. She has a servant heart and wants to help prepare all generations for successful, independent living and a rewarding retirement. It was her desire to ensure her son and other youth and young adults had the tools they would need to live independently that led her to write and publish "On My Own: Effective Strategies for Life". The book and other tools she developed are valuable resources others could use to prepare the youth and young adults in their life for the challenges life will present them. She serves as a beacon of hope for our future. Her second book, "Getting Your Affairs in Order" was written and published for adults of all ages to assist them in designing a strategy that will prepare them to live their best life.
