About
Shahid Muhammed
May Allah be praised forever. May his final messenger Muhammad be blessed and may all of his followers be forgiven. Two subjects, literature, and critical thinking really enhanced my English writing skills. While in my mid 30's I was already a book worm. Going back to college I initially struggled as I did in grade school, but things took a turn for the better when I took critical thinking. I applied those skills to my writings skills, and I found myself doing better overall in all of my studies. While dealing with divorce and struggling with family courts and not being able to guide my children I found that Islam kept me above water. Eventually making umrah (minor pilgrimage) to Mecca saved me from a very depressing situation. A few years prior, I was invited to participate in a film project as a film extra. The film was called "Mooz-lum." I loved the atmosphere and really wanted to take up performing arts. I took up stage acting. Months later, after an actors/writers seminar I took up screenwriting. I would go on to win 21 official selections including 3 first place. I began writing '9 Most Successful Believers' in January of 2020. I wanted to write a book that would help my children and grandchildren while using the primary sources of Islam. Those being the Holy Qur'an, and sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). I also wanted to make this work available to the public, praying that its readers would benefit in some way.
