Shirley Erwee is a mother of 6 children and she has been homeschooling her family since 1997. She has a love and flair for language and an awareness of the importance of a mother's influence on developing children. She studied at Rhodes University, South Africa and graduated with an Honours degree in English Language Teaching. She has also co-authored three literature-based home education programmes for South Africans in the Footprints on Our Land series and she has created various other homeschooling products.
