Having “paid forward” the gift of recovery for decades as a counselor and social worker, “Tiger” Lydi opens her story and her healing words to the rest of the world. “Tiger” Lydi Pallarés has led a varied and accomplished life – a student in Chicago and Paris, patent holder, fashion designer, exhibited painter, 100K marathon world-record holder, championship collegiate swim coach and chess buddy to Carl Sagan – who, while never losing a match to “Tiger” Lydi, was often challenged and amused by her dyslexia-inspired unconventional style of play!. “Tiger” Lydi has conquered all four of her addictions except for being a shopaholic, which she refuses to give up! She celebrates 31 years of sobriety. She has enjoyed a career as a Social Worker Counselor, including three years as an alcohol/drug counselor for the Twelve Step A.A. program at Martin County State Maximum Security Prison in Florida.
